FAQ
Do I need knee replacement surgery?
Knee replacement may be recommended when conservative treatments—like physical therapy or injections—no longer provide relief from chronic pain that limits your daily mobility. We will discuss all of your options at your first appointment.
How long do I have to wait for an appointment?
We prioritize timely access to care. Same-day appointments are often available for patients.
What are my treatment options?
We offer a full range of orthopedic treatments, starting with conservative methods like physical therapy, injections, laser therapy and bracing, to advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures when necessary. Peptides are an option to achieve maximum health benefits for some patients.
How long will recovery take?
Healing durations depend on your specific surgery and unique wellness profile. We supply a comprehensive roadmap and therapy strategy to facilitate a secure, rapid return to your routine. Most patients achieve better results by integrating specialized physical therapy and OrthoLazer treatments.
When should I see an orthopedic surgeon?
You should consider a consultation if you have joint pain that interferes with sleep or daily living, persistent swelling, reduced range of motion, or an acute injury that doesn't improve with rest. If you are unsure, schedule an appointment to discuss your case.
Do I need a referral to see you?
While many insurance plans allow you to schedule directly, some require a referral from your primary care physician. Our office staff can discuss your plan and reach out to your primary care physician if a referral is needed.
What conditions do you treat?
Dr. Maline specializes in broad orthopedic care including sports medicine, fracture care of upper and lower extremities, and advanced hip and knee conditions, including arthritis and joint replacement.
What happens during my first visit?
During your first visit, we will review your medical history, perform a physical examination, and review imaging. Our goal is to provide a clear diagnosis and start discussing a personalized treatment plan on day one.
What is OrthoLazer?
OrthoLazer is an advanced cold laser therapy that provides a non-invasive, drug-free option for reducing pain and inflammation while accelerating tissue healing. Laser therapy increases blood flow, reducing inflammation and supports tissue repair resulting in faster recovery.
"He has replaced both of my knees and repaired a bad rotator cuff. No one better...I wouldn't go anywhere else!"
